DOGS Mens Lacrosse TRAVEL DOGS!

INDY DOGS take 2nd Place!
Several of your fellow DOGS formed a travel team and participated in an indoor masters (over 35) tournament in Columbus this weekend. The K-9 Classic was hosted by the Columbus Old Dogs Masters Lacrosse club. Teams from Cleveland, Detroit, Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus and Indianapolis played in an 8 team tournament. All proceeds went to support an inner city lacrosse program to start and equipment high school programs.
Our team consisted of 13 players with varying degrees of experience. Six played at the college level, the other eight guys never played organized lacrosse before DOGS. Our average age was 44. I am proud to say, that the Indy DOGS did you guys proud! We took 2nd place. We lost to a team from Detroit in the finals, 10-8.
We will have pictures on the web site soon. We plan to participate in 2-3 other tournaments this year and maybe try to host a tournament ourselves.

DOG of the WEEK!
Jimmy "Blitzkrieg" Krieg
MAD DOGS

Jimmy, long time DOGS player, has tributed his longevity in his career by playing lots of defense and never washing his jersey in 3 years. Krieg, netted a hat-trick (3 goals in a game for the small children, women and Joe Loch reading from home) in the last game of this Summer's season. Jim's mind is only on winning the DOG Bowl, though we understand Dave Loudenslager broke it, so we'll need to find an appropriate substitute.

DOGS Supports the Dragons!

Many of our DOGS players play on the local post collegiate club lacrosse team called the Indiana Dragons. The Indiana Dragons Lacrosse Club is an outdoor lacrosse club that plays in the Midwest Cities Lacrosse Conference (MCLC). They currently sponsor an elite men’s team and has plans to create a Masters team for players over the age of 30.
Registered DOGS players receive a $25 discount on Dragon player fees!
If you are interested in playing for either of the Dragons Teams, please contact Dave Laudenslager at indianalacrosseclub@yahoo.com.
